I am so excited to introduce you to today’s guest, Brittany Broaddus-Smith. Brittany is the founder of The Intimacy Firm, an intimacy coaching and sex(uality) education organization for coaching, training and educating groups and individuals. Working in the intersections of sexuality and faith, Brittany aims to empower individuals to discover, embrace, and navigate the world of sexuality in a way that doesn’t compromise their personal or professional values.
I’ve asked Brittany to join us on the podcast today to talk about female pleasure, how purity culture has impacted our pleasure, or lack of, and how we can move from ignorance to educated and empowered in order to experience uninhibited pleasure in our lives. I don’t know about what you heard about sex growing up, but for me, sex was never really framed as something that was pleasurable or desirable for women. But imagine with me for a moment…a sexual ethic that not just acknowledges women’s pleasure, but actually prioritizes women’s pleasure and praises it and values it – how revolutionary would that be? How holy would that be? How much more GOOD sex do you imagine we would be having if we had learned about sex from a female pleasure positive perspective? Yeah, probably a lot more.
I hope you’ll check out Brittany and all of her amazing resources she offers through The Intimacy Firm.
